January 31, 2011

LOTRO News

altCodemasters announced today that LOTRO has won another award for their Free to Play efforts. MMORPGITALIA had a viewers choice awards and LOTRO won with nearly 50% of the votes.

  1. Lord of the Rings Online – 48.5%
  2. Allods Online – 12.8%
  3. League of Legends – 11.5%
  4. Dungeons & Dragons Online – 7.7%
  5. Pirates of the Burning Sea – 5.5%

The site is naturally in Italian which means I cannot read it but Google Translates helped identify that the category was for Best Free MMORPG of the Year.

LOTRO has won quite a few awards lately including an award from English MMORPG.com and PC Gamer Magazine.

Congratulations on your newest award LOTRO!

This is list is real head scratcher. Dungeons & Dragons Online is rarely on any F3P list I stumble across and noticeably missing is Runes of Magic which tops most list I see. And – it doesn’t help that the site is Italian.
