European LOTRO Account Migration

Turbine has launched it’s European LOTRO Account Migration page! Time for our EU friends to prepare to join all of us into one happy LOTRO family!

Starting May 31st the LOTRO European servers will temporarily go down for service migration. After a short period (2-3 days) service will be restored and you can begin playing your existing characters once again. Begin your account migration before the worlds come up by visiting and following the easy instructions. After May 31st you will no longer be able to play LOTRO in Europe until this process is complete.

It is recommended that players follow LOTRO’s Twitter and/or Facebook for updates during the migration process. Now is a good time to review the migration FAQ to make sure everything is ready for the move over!

    Um…why is 79.99 pounds a good deal for a yearly subscription? In the US we can already get four 3-month subscriptions (3 months of VIP for $30) for $120 and according to my currency converter, 79.99 pounds = $131.93.

    Hopefully people will do the math first (unless maybe I’m really bad at math/conversions?)…

      The prices never followed the current exchange rates (well, they did back in 2007 but they’ve been kept the same since)
      3-month subscription used to be £25 or so in EU.

      back before i bought my Lifetime subscription, i was paying £36 for three months – so £80 for 12 months is quite a discount.

      and why are the prices not comparable? they never have been… one of the things we in Europe (€ were always higher than the equivalent £ price) are secretly hoping for from the transfer is that we start getting charged comparable US prices – it will be quite a considerable saving.

    I have a question. If I migrate my account now I’ll still have my month that I won right? The european client is taking forever to download…
    If everything goes fine, I should be able to play on the US client with my codemaster account at most in june 5, right?

    Peter, your conversions don’t work because European customers will be charged VAT for the EU, which US customers obviously are not. The prices therefore won’t convert directly.

    I haven’t really read any of the migration stuff because it doesn’t involve me at all… however, is joining the North American servers an option for European players? I would like to see more players stream into Nimrodel!

      Yes, all servers will be available to all players when the ex-european ones are back up properly. The current Turbine servers will be available for us movers as soon as our new Turbine accounts are made, while it’ll take a couple days for our old servers and characters to become available again. I just hope my names aren’t taken on Landroval yet ;)

    Hello, I was playing on Europe Lotro but now as the transition started I don;t really understend how to migrate and change my accaunt to turbine? If there would possibly be a chance for someone to explain I’ll much appriciate it. P.S. English is not my native.

    Hi, can someone help me pls im just took out the 1 year subscription for $99 but i live in England so will i be paying $99 or the £79 and how coem its coming up in dollars for me instead of Gbp or euros?

      Did you migrate your account or did you have a previous Turbine account? I would suggest you contact account support and see if there is a way to get your currency changed. Let us know if you were able to do so! I’d be interested if that is possible.

        i only just migrated it, butfor some reason every is in dollars and i could not find anything on the FAQ on turbine and just wondered if anyone else having problems

    Plus i cant even find a phone number for european account support or for england only american, there seems to be no support for europe?

      I don’t think there is any difference. We are all part of Turbine and use Turbine Support.
