Weekend Sale for April 26-29, 2012

April 26, 2012

LOTRO 5 YearsApril is a big celebration month for LOTRO! This month marks 5 years of playing online in Middle-earth! To celebrate, Turbine is having special sales each weekend in addition to the weekly sale.

These items are more than the typical 20% off making these very appealing!

This listing is valid until April 29, 2012. Check out what’s on sale this weekend below plus our advice on whether to buy.

Quest Pack: Enedwaith

Over 150 quests for levels 60+
The Grey Company, the Ranger kinsmen of Aragorn son of Arathorn, rides south to aid their chieftain. Help them as they make their way secretly through the land of Enedwaith, untangling the mysteries of the spectral creatures that appear in the night and protecting the outlier clans of Dunland from the influence of the White Hand of Saruman.

Store Location: Account → Quests & Content → Quests Packs
Levels: 60+

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: Content on sale will almost always get a thumbs up. I can’t even think of an instance when it wouldn’t get a thumbs up.

One thing to note here is that Enedwaith is a zone that is free for VIPs. Just in case you are a subscriber and looking to buy this, you shouldn’t be able to.

Enedwaith is a big zone and it includes 5-instances introduced in Update 2 (Echoes of the Dead). The dungeons are scattered across the world and are all for level 65s.

Relic Packs

Bring a Relic Pack to a Relic-master who will deconstruct it and bestow upon you an assortment of Legendary Relics! Single and 5-stacks available.

Store Location: Goods & Services → Legendary Items → Relics
Levels: 50+

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: If you are one who are really into the legendary items system I can see maybe buying these but for the rest of us mere mortals I think your points can be better off spending elsewhere and getting our relics in the normal fashion.

Tomes Of Will

Trolls pounding you into submission? Friends defeated because you can’t heal them fast enough? Then it may be time to upgrade your character’s Will stats.
- Fight longer with more power
- Reduce power regeneration time between battles
- Resist Fear effects
- Keep teammates alive with enhanced healing abilities
- Deal out greater tactical damage
- Recommended for: Captains, Lore-masters, Minstrels, & Rune-keepers

Store Location: Character → Stats
Levels: All

CSTM RECOMMENDATION: Stat tomes are typically a hot item and with stat caps removed, this may be of interest to more than the core will users depending on how you plan to build your character.

These tomes can drop in game but they seem to be a bit on the rare-ish side. But it is an in-game option if you want to check the Auction House first.

The tomes are a consumable put into the pack of the character that purchased it. You have to use them in order. You cannot accidently buy the wrong one in the LOTRO Store as they only show you the tier you haven’t used but this is important if one dropped for you or if you purchased one off the AH.

Captains should not buy Will anymore.

  2. Damper Says:

As mentioned before, my VIP ended last week. I’ve been through Enedwaith fleetingly, just activating stables and the like, knowing that I would have to buy it eventually. Lo and behold, 50% off!
I hope there’ll be some skirmishes on sale too, those I miss the most.

  3. Ulrika Says:

Nice with a 50% off on Enedwaith. I had hoped for a sale on Evendim though, as my level ~30 toon is starting to feel that the Lone-lands is kind of done. Maybe in a few weeks :)

So happy to see the Enedwaith sale…that zone and Forochel are the only two that I do not own.

    50% oof at Enedwaith… that’s a really good deal. :)
