Steed of Dagorlad Available Through April

April 5, 2013

Steed of DagloradThe new store exclusive steed for the month of April is the Steed of Daglorad.

This steed appeared in the store starting on April 3rd and will be available in the LOTRO Store through April 30th.

As of writing this post, this steed is not appearing in the store exclusive mounts section. It is in the store though and can be found by searching for “Dagorlad”.

Pictures below are of the war-steed stabled in Snowbourn and is the default look for the steed without dye.

This steed had barding made of rugged black leather and chainmail, with a sword and shield accessory.

Dye Screenshots

Special thank you to Danania for sharing screenshots of her war-steed with parts dyed Sea Blue to show which parts color when dyed. It appears little details pieces dye and so coloring doesn’t do much more than slightly accent the design.

This mount is as fast (+68%) and same morale (250 HP) as the previous store exclusive mounts with the same price tag. This steed is a per character purchase so be sure you spend the Turbine Points on the character you want riding this.

Purchasing this steed will also allow you the use of the appearance items for your War-steed (does not include hide/tail coloring).

Store Location: Search for “Dagorlad”
Levels: 5+
1,995 TP

If it is just the stats of the horse you are looking for, there are in-game alternatives. The Elf Ambassador and World Renown horses have equal stats but a different look. If it is the look or the cosmetics of this steed that has you enamored, this is your only option.

This looks very similar to some of the stuff already available so, meh.

I wish they would just give us the cosmetics for the horse for 995tp and not the regular travel mount with it would be willing to buy for 1000tp.

Now the guardians know where turbine put the decent sized shield, That thing is HUGE!

Also looks like they found the burg’s daggers going by the other side of the gear.

Chainmail is a step forwards in the design of a WARsteed and a welcome move away from tablecloths. Although the leather halter could do with a bit less bondage club.

    Thanks Goldenstar!
I appreciate all you do. :)

That looks like the kind of horse that would appear in an 1980′s Heavy Metal Hair band video.

The expression on its face is like “What the heck am I wearing???”

Hmmm…. this horse looks strangely familiar, oh wait I had this one in the beta. Nice to see they have come around to release it on the live server (of course it didn’t have the large shield in the beta version and I don’t recall all of the orange).
