WB Games Humble Bundle Now Includes Steely Dawn Pack

November 13, 2013

I posted to social media earlier this week about the WB Games Humble Bundle that is currently available. A couple Batman games, Fear, War in the North, and more are available in this bundle. Pay what you want and proceeds go to charity.

Just added to this bundle is the LOTRO Steely Dawn Starter Kit. This pack includes a cosmetic armor set (not dye-able), Evendim, five 100% XP boosts and 500 Turbine Points. This pack is $19.99 in the Steam store.

Given that you would be getting so many other games on top of this pack and right now you only need pay more than $4.63 to get all the other packs included, this is an amazing opportunity to get some bonus to your LOTRO game as well as a library of other games you may not already have.

Go check it out at https://www.humblebundle.com/

I had already got the Humble Bundle before this extra was added. I wonder if I’ll still get the Steely Dawn Pack now, and whether I’ll be able to apply it to my existing non-Steam LOTRO accounts?

    Nice bonus if I can.

I bought it earlier to get the Batman games, and when I went to the link it emailed me, the new games and LOTRO code were there.

I believe that to get the BTA items including the pack, you must pay the BTA price even if you are an early buyer in the first week (this is a change from Humble Bundle’s old policy of giving every $1+ early buyers BTA games).

Also, as far as I can tell, the SD Pack keys will be Steam only and aren’t available to anyone who bought the bundle yet. The HB page says Steam keys for it are coming soon so I don’t expect myaccount.turbine codes.

There is a workaround to redeeming the Steely Dawn code on your turbine account; you can copy the CD key and paste it into your account on turbine.com. Most people have said that the View CD Key option only appears in Big Picture mode for LOTRO (under Links and More).

Also note that you can now gift individual codes to a friend’s Steam Account, so if you already have the Steely Dawn pack, you can give your copy to someone who hasn’t yet tried LOTRO!

Hey, thanks for that info! Couldn’t find the key otherwise.

    • Durrendel Says:

Thank you, it’s works even with the standard (non-Steam) versions!

  3. Calavera Says:

i had already purchased the bundle before they added the starter pack to it. so i don’t have any code in my email. i currently have none to access anywhere. i wonder if i am stuck waiting to get a steam code… i really don’t want to have to redownload and reinstall the game just for one code. i like steam well enough and all, but what a hassle.

    • Beryline Says:

If you click the Humble Bundle link in your purchase email, it will now show the pack. Then start up steam in Big Picture mode and right click LOTRO. One of the options you’ll see is to view the CD key. Then you enter that key in your account at myaccount.turbine.com.

  4. Pasduil Says:

At the moment I still don’t see any mention of the Steely Dawn pack in my bundle. I see all the other new games that were added though.

Is it taking a lot longer to appear that expected?

  5. Pickles (Mew) Says:

The Steely Dawn Pack is now available on your HB purchase page for linking to your Steam account.
